The Mummy Returns (2001)
Not quite as amusing as the first one (which I liked a lot). It never really has that spark, though it does get more interesting when the story begins to refer more closely to the backstory of the previous flick. And the stuff with The Rock and the "Scorpion King" is mostly retarded. Posted .

The Hurricane
Excellent biopic based on Rubin Carter's memoirs. According to the reviews, the filmmakers fudged the details a bit, but Carter's story remains powerful, and Denzel Washington brings the former champ vividly to life.

Sliding Doo
Even if Gwyneth Paltrow hadn't given an excellent dual performance as
the parallel universe versions of one young Englishwoman, this flick
would still get bonus points for "best gratuitous use of a Monty Python
quote."

Four Weddings and a Funeral
The film that launched a thousand sheepish grins, a.k.a. star Hugh Grant's career. Not always a good thing, but it works to perfection here.
