Remarkably silly adaptation of the Kipling stories. I tried to read The Jungle Book some time back, and had trouble getting into it. But I did read enough to get the gist, and to understand that Kipling probably wouldn’t have trucked with this slapstick version of his tales. As for a living viewer, children can probably appreciate the lightness of the presentation, but an adult viewer with any level of sophistication will find a great deal of this work tiresome and trivializing. Better for this one to stay lost in the forest than to trouble your viewing habits.
