Solo: A Star Wars Story

I’m not sure what the problem is. A lot of people seemed to not like this flick very much when it came out, and perhaps the product of (unrealistic) expectations. Apparently, some folks were expecting a space opera Citizen Kane. Me, I just saw a fairly straightforward sci-fi action flick; the fact that it fits in the Star Wars canon should not in any special way force demerits on it for what it’s not. I mean, it’s not profound; it’s not a work of genius; but as a popcorn entertainment, there’s nothing particularly wrong with it. So maybe relax a little and just kill a couple of hours with a decent, fun movie…instead of expecting your life to be altered.
