Interesting. Another movie with a lot on its mind, more so than you'd expect from the basic premise (lost people intersect with gangsters in an isolated cafe). This flick gives you healthy doses of thoughtfulness to go along with your serving of violence. And it says something that Leslie Howard makes at least as much of an impression as Humphrey Bogart. All in all, this film is entertaining and effecting in its crisp, hour and a half running time. I think it earns its classic cred. Give it a look.
