It's hard not to like this film. Here's what you get: a visually sumptuous movie, with a gentle, lilting story that stays true all the way through and pulls at your heart without resorting to cheap, manipulative tricks. You know right from the start how it's going to end, and you're still glad to get there. All in all, a movie that delivers on all of its promises.
