Maybe it's just my appreciation of Reese Witherspoon overwhelming my critical faculties, but I did enjoy this movie. It's mostly formulaic, but it does throw at least one welcome curve that breaks its otherwise standard mold. And there's just enough absurdity to generate sufficient laughs.
